* Input: extract ChromeOS vivaldi physmap show functionStephen Boyd2022-03-141-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Let's introduce a common library file for the physmap show function duplicated between three different keyboard drivers. This largely copies the code from cros_ec_keyb.c which has the most recent version of the show function, while using the vivaldi_data struct from the hid-vivaldi driver. This saves a small amount of space in an allyesconfig build. $ ./scripts/bloat-o-meter vmlinux.before vmlinux.after add/remove: 3/0 grow/shrink: 2/3 up/down: 412/-720 (-308) Function old new delta vivaldi_function_row_physmap_show - 292 +292 _sub_I_65535_1 1057564 1057616 +52 _sub_D_65535_0 1057564 1057616 +52 e843419@49f2_00062737_9b04 - 8 +8 e843419@20f6_0002a34d_35bc - 8 +8 atkbd_parse_fwnode_data 480 472 -8 atkbd_do_show_function_row_physmap 316 76 -240 function_row_physmap_show 620 148 -472 Total: Before=285581925, After=285581617, chg -0.00% Signed-off-by: Stephen Boyd <swboyd@chromium.org> Tested-by: Stephen Boyd <swboyd@chromium.org> # coachz, wormdingler Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20220228075446.466016-3-dmitry.torokhov@gmail.com Signed-off-by: Dmitry Torokhov <dmitry.torokhov@gmail.com>

* Input: snvs_pwrkey - send key events for i.MX6 S, DL and QRobin van der Gracht2019-11-251-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | The first generation i.MX6 processors does not send an interrupt when the power key is pressed. It sends a power down request interrupt if the key is released before a hard shutdown (5 second press). This should allow software to bring down the SoC safely. For this driver to work as a regular power key with the older SoCs, we need to send a keypress AND release when we get the power down request irq. * Input: gpio_keys_polled - switch to using polled mode of input devicesDmitry Torokhov2019-10-291-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | We have added polled mode to the normal input devices with the intent of retiring input_polled_dev. This converts gpio_keys_polled driver to use the polling mode of standard input devices and removes dependency on INPUT_POLLDEV. Note that we still keep polled and non-polled gpio-keys drivers separate, as they are different enough and mixing them up would make the code pretty confusing. However, the known parts have been working well and received extensive testing and use. In order for this driver to work, the proper SPI drivers need to be loaded too; for MB8,1 these are spi_pxa2xx_platform and spi_pxa2xx_pci; for all others they are spi_pxa2xx_platform and intel_lpss_pci. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | We can communicate the clock rate using platform data rather than setting a flag to use a particular value in the driver, which is cleaner and avoids the dependency. No platform in the kernel currently defines the ep93xx keypad device structure, so this is a rather pointless excercise. Any out of tree users are probably dead now, but if not, they have to change their platform code to match the new platform_data structure. * Input: sh_keysc - remove dependency on SUPERHSimon Horman2016-03-041-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | A dependency on ARCH_SHMOBILE seems to be the best option for sh_keysc: * For Super H based SoCs: sh_keysc is used on SH_MIGOR, SH_ECOVEC, SH_KFR2R09, SH_7722_SOLUTION_ENGINE, and SH_7724_SOLUTION_ENGINE, which depend on either CPU_SUBTYPE_SH7722 or CPU_SUBTYPE_SH7724, and both select ARCH_SHMOBILE. * For ARM Based SoCs: Since the removal of legacy (non-multiplatform) support this driver has not been used by any Renesas ARM based SoCs. The Renesas ARM based SoCs currently select ARCH_SHMOBILE, however, it is planned that this will no longer be the case. This is part of an ongoing process to migrate from ARCH_SHMOBILE to ARCH_RENESAS the motivation for which being that RENESAS seems to be a more appropriate name than SHMOBILE for the majority of Renesas ARM based SoCs. | * Input: cros_ec_keyb - replace KEYBOARD_CROS_EC dependencyJavier Martinez Canillas2015-08-191-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The ChromeOS EC keyboard driver config depends on CROS_EC_PROTO but MFD_CROS_EC selects CROS_EC_PROTO instead. Mixing select and depends on is bad practice as it may lead to circular Kconfig dependencies. Since the platform device that is matched with the keyboard driver is registered by the ChromeOS EC mfd driver, KEYBOARD_CROS_EC really should depend on MFD_CROS_EC. And because this config option selects CROS_EC_PROTO, that dependency is met as well. So make the driver to depend on MFD_CROS_EC instead of CROS_EC_PROTO.
