* softfloat: Introduce Floatx80RoundPrecRichard Henderson2021-06-031-1/+9
| | | | | | | Use an enumeration instead of raw 32/64/80 values. Reviewed-by: Alex Bennée <alex.bennee@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Richard Henderson <richard.henderson@linaro.org>
* softfpu: Add float_round_to_odd_infRichard Henderson2021-06-031-1/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | For Arm BFDOT and BFMMLA, we need a version of round-to-odd that overflows to infinity, instead of the max normal number. * softfloat: Define operations for bfloat16LIU Zhiwei2020-08-281-0/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | This patch implements operations for bfloat16 except conversion and some misc operations. We also add FloatFmt and pack/unpack interfaces for bfloat16. As they are both static fields, we can't make a sperate patch for them. * softfloat: pass float_status pointer to pickNaNMax Filippov2020-08-211-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Pass float_status structure pointer to the pickNaN so that machine-specific settings are available to NaN selection code. Add use_first_nan property to float_status and use it in Xtensa-specific pickNaN. * softfloat: make NO_SIGNALING_NANS runtime propertyMax Filippov2020-08-211-1/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | target/xtensa, the only user of NO_SIGNALING_NANS macro has FPU implementations with and without the corresponding property. With NO_SIGNALING_NANS being a macro they cannot be a part of the same QEMU executable. Replace macro with new property in float_status to allow cores with different FPU implementations coexist. * softfloat: Name rounding mode enumRichard Henderson2020-05-191-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | Give the previously unnamed enum a typedef name. Use the packed attribute so that we do not affect the layout of the float_status struct. Use it in the prototypes of relevant functions. Adjust switch statements as necessary to avoid compiler warnings. * fpu/softfloat: Specialize on snan_bit_is_oneRichard Henderson2018-05-171-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Only MIPS requires snan_bit_is_one to be variable. While we are specializing softfloat behaviour, allow other targets to eliminate this runtime check. * target/*/cpu.h: remove softfloat.hAlex Bennée2018-02-211-0/+64
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | As cpu.h is another typically widely included file which doesn't need full access to the softfloat API we can remove the includes from here as well. Where they do need types it's typically for float_status and the rounding modes so we move that to softfloat-types.h as well. As a result of not having softfloat in every cpu.h call we now need to add it to various helpers that do need the full softfloat.h definitions. * fpu/softfloat-types: new header to prevent excessive re-buildsAlex Bennée2018-02-211-0/+115
The main culprit here is bswap.h which pulled in softfloat.h so it could use the types in its CPU_Float* and ldfl/stfql functions. As bswap.h is very widely included this added a compile dependency every time we touch softfloat.h. Move the typedefs for each float type into their own file so we don't re-build the world every time we tweak the main softfloat.h header.
